In every sports career and every sports season there are the inevitable “ups and downs” due to disappointment, achievement, performances or injuries. It takes a special athlete who can level off those events and see to the future and remain positive. That person for us this year was Wade. This type of persistence and balance served the distance team well throughout his four years at GBS and will serve Wade Herrera well throughout life. - Coach Hilvert (2020)
