We also understand that this has brought additional uncertainty to the remainder of the spring athletic season. We are pleased that so many of you have remained in close contact with your teammates and coaches and that you have continued to prepare to conclude your spring season. In response to the IHSA guidance, it is important to know that District 225 extracurricular athletics and activities will only be permitted if campuses are re-opened and accessible to students and staff. We will continue to rely on guidance from Governor Pritzker as to when and how we will reopen our campuses. Student health and safety will always be the primary consideration in any decision regarding the continuation of extracurricular activities.

Over the next month, please continue to stay connected with your team, your teammates and your coaches. Now more than ever, we need each other for support and guidance.

We will continue to keep you updated with any additional information regarding athletic participation.

Best regards,

Dr. Charles Johns
