Kurt Hasenstein Indoor Relays

This past Saturday, the Titans hosted the 6th Annual GBS Indoor Relays. At the meet, the coaching staff announced the meet was to be forever renamed the Kurt Hasenstein Indoor Relays, after retiring Head Coach Kurt Hasenstein. The Titans won the meet, outdistancing the field by nearly 40 points, winning 9 of the 16 events, and setting 5 meet records! The meet showcased Glenbrook North, Deerfield, Vernon Hills, Conant, and Fenton. The Titans started off strong and never looked back, winning the meet by almost 40 points!! In the 4x1600m “relay” the Titans swept the competition as in the span of just 2 seconds Andy Ordway finished first, Cole Branstrom finished second, Ryan Taylor finished third, and Sam Knezevich finished fourth! They were just 0.6 seconds off the meet record! In the 4x800m William Fontana, Jan Jedynak, Spencer Rudolph, and Ryan Gershowitz took second place! Additionally, there were several meet records set!

New Meet Records include:

  • Hurdle Relay: Jack Clark, Anthony Nassif, Matthew Vergamini, Patrick Kuprewicz
  • 6 Lap Relay: Jake Johnson, Andrew Spilios, Joaquin Williams, Thomas Zambianchi
  • High Jump Relay: Tyrone Cotton, Max Blair, Anthony Nassif
  • Pole Vault Relay: Mason Cornwell, Rohan Thota, Anthony Nassif
  • Triple Jump Relay: Jake Johnson, Isaac Mathew, Braden Mendoza

This week, the Titans will take on GBN, Highland Park and Conant at home on Thursday, 2/29. Events begin at 4:45pm.

Glenbrook South's Premier Indoor Track Facility


Experience indoor track and field like never before at the David P. Pasquini Fieldhouse! With eight lanes on the straightaway and six on the turns, our 160-meter track is a premier destination in the North Shore since its opening in 1990. The facility is named after the late David Pasquini, a beloved figure who tragically passed away while serving as the head cross country and assistant track coach in October 1996. Come and experience the passion and dedication of our track community at the David P. Pasquini Fieldhouse.

Some Things to Know:

No Spikes
Any shoes can be worn on the track surface, as long as they are without spikes. Shoes with spikes are allowed, as long as the spikes have been removed.
No Food or Drink
No Food or Drinks are allowed inside the Fieldhouse. A seating area near the concessions stand in the lobby is available.
Listen for Announcements
Pay attention to announcements from the clerk over the PA System. Typical events will have two calls followed by a final call. Indoor Quads are not run by levels, but are grouped by times. All athletes, regardless of times, should check in with the clerk as soon as possible after the first call.
Parking
The easiest parking for spectators is in a North Parking Lot on campus. Enter at Door OO, also known as the North Entrance. This entrance is near the cafeterias, and is the new entrance for all Athletics. The exterior Fieldhouse entrance is no longer accessible for spectators.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are available in the hallway alongside the Titan Dome. Please follow overhead signage for directions.

The David P. Pasquini Fieldhouse is located on the campus of Glenbrook South High School, located between West Lake Avenue, Pfingsten Road, and Landwehr Road. Once you arrive at Glenbrook South, the most convient parking is in the North parking lots. Enter at Door OO, also known as the North Entrance. This entrance is near the cafeterias, and is the new entrance for all Athletics. The former Fieldhouse entrance is not accessible for spectators.
