Records!

On Saturday, February 26th, the Titans hosted the annual Titan Indoor Relays against three teams, including District 225 rival, Glenbrook North. It was a great day of racing, with some great times ran all around, including multiple new records.

The 4x800 meter relay opened the day up with Michael Jerva (Sr) leading the way, followed by Lucas Houser (Sr), James Hiltebrand (Jr), and Brian Hiltebrand (Sr). Their goal before the race even began was evident: the varsity indoor 4x800 record of 8:16. Michael ran a great 2:04 to jump the team out into first place, and they would not look back throughout. Luke and James followed next as they both set their best times ever at 2:05 and 2:07 respectively. Then, to smash through the record, Brian lit the field house on fire by running a clear season best of 1:57. They broke a record that has stood for 29 years in the process with a total time of 8:14.

David P. Pasquini Fieldhouse

Glenbrook South's Premier Indoor Track Facility

We have an excellent 160-meter track with 8 lanes on the straightaway and 6 lanes on the turns. Since its opening in 1990, the David P. Pasquini Fieldhouse has become a premier destination for Indoor Track and Field in the North Shore.

Some Things to Know:

No Spikes
Any shoes can be worn on the track surface, as long as they are without spikes. Shoes with spikes are allowed, as long as the spikes have been removed.
No Food or Drink
No Food or Drinks are allowed inside the Fieldhouse. A seating area near the concessions stand in the lobby is available.
Listen for Announcements
Pay attention to announcements from the clerk over the PA System. Typical events will have two calls followed by a final call. Indoor Quads are not run by levels, but are grouped by times. All athletes, regardless of times, should check in with the clerk as soon as possible after the first call.
Parking
The easiest parking for spectators is in a North Parking Lot on campus. Enter at Door OO, also known as the North Entrance. This entrance is near the cafeterias, and is the new entrance for all Athletics. The former Fieldhouse entrance is not accessible for spectators.
