Congrats to the Titan Track and Field team for their 1st place finish at the 11 team Niles North Invite on Friday. A balanced team effort held off strong challenges from Warren, Loyola and Crete-Monee.
GBS had 3 champions on the day including:
Special mention goes out to Ryan Taylor who broke his 4th Sophomore school record of the year and also won the "Dan Horyn" 1600 meter run, an event named in memory for a very impactful Niles North Track and Cross Country coach.
Ryan is the first GBS distance runner to win this award that was established 8 years ago.
Other top finishers included: Patrick Kuprewicz (2nd-High Hurdles), Conor Beach (2nd-100 Meter Dash), Joaquin Williams, Tyrone Cotton, Andrew Spilios, Conor Beach (2nd-4 x 100 Meter Relay), Matthew Clough, Caleb Terrill, Charles Sturiale, Jake Johnson (2nd-4 x 200 Meter Relay).
The Frosh-Soph team captured 5th place and had 2 champions on the day. Phoenix Bodino (Pole Vault) and Braden Mendoza (Triple Jump).
The Titans head to GBN this Friday for the 60th annual GBN Relays. Good Luck!
